March 20th marked the first official day of Spring. Almost a month has gone by and we have only enjoyed two Spring-like days in NYC. I feel short changed. To get two wonderful days of 75 degree weather followed immediately by a 20 degree drop in temperatures and rain is cruel.
I'm happy to report I have seen visual evidence that Spring is near. Or at least trying to make an entrance. Within the last week and a half the trees that line the city streets have begun to bloom. At first just a little. Just enough to give us New Yorkers hope that warmer weather is around the corner. And then the tulips began to spring up. I snapped a couple pictures during my daily walks around the city to share with you all.

I'm optimistic that any day now we will be able to retire our winter coats and enjoy a cocktail outside. Until thenI will look to the blooms around the city to me through the last of the cold winter-like temperatures.
